The Allegro Handbell Ensemble
is the concert handbell ensemble of the Union
Church of Hinsdale. Directed by Michael Surratt, the choir
performs for a variety of functions, including civic events, church services, and on local television and radio programs.
Since 1977, the Allegro Handbell Ensemble has toured each summer, performing across the United States and Europe, as well as parts of Canada and Mexico. For more information about the choir, see

Recordings
Continuing its celebration of 40 years, the Allegro
Handbell Ensemble introduces its thirteenth album, With the Angels. The group is also celebrating the 30th anniversary of its first recordings, and has re-released Volume I and Volume II for the first time on compact disc. This are the first albums in the Allegro Bronze Edition series.
Since it's beginnings in the 1960s, the Allegro Handbell
Ensemble has produced records, audio cassettes, and compact
discs featuring music from it's summer tours and holiday
concert series. Presently, the ensemble releases a new
album every two to three years.
