During most of the year, when Allegro is not on tour, members of our adult choir can step in and read the part for a member that got sick or had a previous commitment. 

While Allegro is on tour, our Assistant Director, Liz Jung, is always ready to stand in.  Ms. Jung deserves special recognition for her never-ceasing endeavors for the handbell programs at Union Church.  She is an alumna of the choir and really never stopped being a member—over the years, she has attended as many summer tours as the director!  Ms. Jung was named Assistant Director in 2000 when Mr. Surratt took sabbatical, and conducts the choir in his absence.
